Info

Eamon Costello Construction, a construction company located in Cork, reached out to Contain Yourself for the provision of site accommodation units for their construction project. The objective of the project was to provide the construction workers with comfortable and efficient facilities, such as toilets, offices, and a drying room, to improve their overall satisfaction and productivity.

Concept

To fulfil Eamon Costello’s requirements for the site accommodation, Contain Yourself supplied a 20ft x 10ft toilet block, three 20ft x 10ft anti-vandal offices, one 20ft x 10ft drying room, and one 20ft x 10ft canteen office. The units were designed to provide ample space for the workers to take breaks and carry out their duties. The offices were fitted with basic furnishings, and the canteen office was equipped with seating arrangements and tables.

Challenge

The project posed several challenges, including the difficult site set up, as some units needed to be stacked on top of each other. Contain Yourself needed to use a Hiab crane truck to achieve this, ensuring that all health and safety regulations were met. The project involving the site accommodation also required careful coordination with Eamon Costello Construction to ensure that the new facilities were accessible to the workers and met the company’s specific requirements.

Result

Contain Yourself successfully delivered and installed the units on time and to a high standard. The workers appreciated the comfortable facilities and found the location of the units to be convenient. The project was completed within budget and received positive feedback from Eamon Costello Construction. The hire period was 12 months or longer, and the units remained well-maintained throughout this time. The project was deemed a great success, improving the work environment for the construction workers and boosting their satisfaction and productivity.
